Conclusion: How Food is Shaped into Dishes

How do different regions, times and seasons shape culinary dishes?

  1. Different  Contexts in Time and Region shaped how people viewed food and helped construct recipes.
    1. Because the Chadds were in an area in which multiple regional cuisines potentially collided along with Colonial Cuisine, the options would be much more varied and decisions would likely have had to been made as to what Context was used.
    2. Because of the lack of Primary Sources, it is difficult to determine what impact the Regional and Colonial Cuisine had on the Chadds.
  2. Impact of Seasons
    1. Seasons helped determine the living conditions of domestic and wild food products and influenced the quality of the products.
    2. The seasons helped determine the migratory patterns of wild animals and what produce and herbs were available fresh.
    3. Seasons also helped determine what dishes were available for menus
